However, with \u00a340 billion in additional tax revenue on the line \u2013 and Government finances increasingly strained \u2013 further change seems increasingly unlikely.<\/p>\n<p>Taxpayers are therefore recommended to maintain an awareness of the changes announced in the Budget late last year \u2013 and covered in our previous Budget Summary found <a href=\"https:\/\/abtot.com\/new2026\/insights-to-yesterdays-budget-from-abtot-associate-xeinadin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 including:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employer\u2019s National Insurance: an increase in rates \u2013 from 13.8% to 15% \u2013 and the slashing of the threshold from \u00a39,100 to \u00a35,000<\/li>\n<li>Inheritance Tax: Business \/ Agricultural Property Relief is to be halved to 50% (i.e. 20% IHT) on qualifying assets exceeding \u00a31m and AIM shares.
